What’s the name of your business?
It’s called BESPOKE Boutique. I want people to identify me with the nice clothes I stock and it can only be done if people speak about them so that is where the whole concept comes from.

Where is this business located?
At Mabirizi Complex, basement floor, shop number B12.

What exactly do you deal in?
I deal in casual clothes like T-shirts, Jeans, Khaki trousers, shoes, jackets, blazers, shorts, sweaters, boxers, belts and caps.

Where do you buy these clothes?
I shop form Turkey and the UK.

How much are your clothes?
They vary. Between Shs30,000 and Shs200,000, depending on what you are buying.

What are some of the challenge you get in this business?
Items are so expensive and they are not easy to find.

How much did you invest in this business and how much is it worth now?
I started with Shs3m selling shoes only but now my business is worth Shs35m.

Where did you get the money to start up this kind of business?
I was a shoe hawker before and I used the little savings to start up. It was not easy though because I had to sacrifice a lot to get where I am.

How have you benefited from this business so far?
I’m able to sustain my family through this business, I’m planning to build sometime soon and open up other branches.

How much do you pay rent?
I pay Shs1m every month and I’m comfortable with it.

On a good day, how much do you get?

And on a bad day?
