If you happen to run into Radio and Weasel at a bar any time soon, please order for ice and whichever gin that the Goodlyf Crew is having. It just maybe the charm that is giving them their current wave of good luck. These boys are on a roll at the moment and it’s a roll that re-underlines their status as contenders at the very top of level of Ugandan music.
They are helped in this song by Desire Luzinda, an addition that is as fitting into the song as the title says. There is no better time to note this than when, say around halfway the first verse, she joins Radio’s soprano and flavours it with some very palatable tenor. And don’t you just love the very characteristic way Radio says the word “fitting” on the chorus, especially, the way he puts emphasis on the “ing”!
The song is directed to a lover, a celebration of just how much two lovebirds have and share in common, making them a fitting couple who fit each other like a jig saw. It is a song with a low tempo, shoving you into simple sways of movement, as you hum along. It’s a typical Radio and Weasel act, this one. The only danger would be the fear that one day, the boys may not be able to give us something as good.
