Here’s how to vote for DJ Shiru and Aludah in Agda

We told you last week that our very own disc jockeys Dj Shiru Pro of Club Silk and reigning Pilsner Spin Master DJ Aludah are the two Ugandan Djs that were nominated in the first ever African Global DJ Awards (Agda). The awards, the first of their kind on the continent are slated for May 4 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa. The awards boast of 16 broad categories including one for female DJs who are unsung heroes in the DJ profession. DJ shiru is nominated in the Best Club DJ category and will have to beat competition from DJs, Flava, Zimo, Spinall from Nigeria as well as Killa Fingers from Ghana and DJ Waxy from South Africa.

Dj Aludah on the other hand is nominated in the Eastern Africa best deejay category.  Aludah, who also works for Channel O, faces stiff competition from fellow Channel O colleagues DJs Crème De La Crème, Joe Mfalme, Kumi, Donnaccia and Jawahi all from Kenya.

To vote for DJ Shiru and DJ Aludah, one should visit http://www.agda.co.za/votenow.php and look for the categories of Best Club DJ and Best Eastern Africa DJ.
You could also vote on Twitter. All you have to do is simply log on to Twitter and type “@DjShiru for #AGDACLUBDJ Cc @agdaawards” or “@djaludah for #AGDAEASTDJ Cc @agdaawards”

According to the AGDA website, “winners will be decided by a panel of judges, along with popular votes on the website.” The voting is likely to be headed by Nigeria’s legendary DJ Jimmy Jatt.
