Gospel artiste Timothy Lubega aka Exodus has been under a lot of criticism after he was shown on local TV station Bukedde TV’s Agataliko Nfuufu news bulletin as one of the people that were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol a fortnight ago. Exodus got back to us and told us the whole issue was misreported and blown out of proportion by a few people in the media.
“I was told to get out of my car and asked for my driving licence. I was more than pleased to present it to the authorities, but they told me it had expired last year. I wasn’t aware of the expiry of my driving license,” said Exodus.
However, Exodus further explained that he was informed by the traffic officers that he was under arrest for not having a valid driving permit. “But I don’t know how the media concluded that I was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. I want to make it clear that I do not take alcohol and I was never drunk,” the singer behind songs like Igwe ,said.
