Four One One

Radio & Weasel’s Can’t Let You Go is No. 1 on MTV

We have good news for the Good Lyfe crew fans out there. Finally, Mowzey & Weasel completed their Neverland home in Makindye! It’s a storied house with four apartments. But that’s a story for another day. Today, we would like to congratulate Radio and Weasel for emerging the first East African artistes to top the MTV African count down for more than a week.

Radio & Weasel’s Can’t let You Go has been the No.1 song on the MTV African countdown for over a week. We spoke to the pair and they were as equally excited as most of their fans out there, “We discovered that the only reason we hadn’t hit our continental target, was our video production, therefore, we invested a lot of money in our videos and now we are getting a bumper harvest,” Radio said. Yet Can’ t Let You Go is not the only Good Lyfe song enjoying enormous airplay on MTV as their Fantastic video also recently started MTV Base, Channel O and Trace.

And Mowzey told us they are not done yet, “We have a duet with Amani called Kiboko, the same guys (Tough Sunday) who shot Fantastic and Can’t Let You Go are the ones behind its video. It will also start playing on MTV and other international channels in about two weeks. Then we also just finished shooting the video of our latest release titled Money, I’m sure it will also play internationally.”

Mowzey and Weasel started working with Tough Sunday, a South African based video production house earlier this year and their video qualities have never been the same. However, all this does not come cheap; the Good Lyfe duo revealed that they spend slightly above $10,000 (about Shs 26m) for every video! All the best Radio & Weasel.
