Namubiru hit by hubby

Songbird Iryn Namubiru is hurting and she blames it all on the father of her two children Franck Morel. The couple’s marriage has been on the rocks for months now and their recent altercation may yet prove to be the final straw in what once was a Romeo-and-Juliet love story.

She said that she was attacked and assaulted by Morel at the Gare du Nord Paris, a train station in the French city.

“It was Monday (November 5) around 6:45 pm. (France time) and I was arriving from Holland from a holiday with the children,” she narrates. “I rang him so he could come and pick us up but when he arrived he started insulting me and it soon turned into assaulting as he pulled away the kids from me.” Morel was not happy about Iryn taking the children on a trip without his consent.

Namubiru says that police came and took them to Gare du Nord Police Post where they asked her if she wanted to open a case which she accepted. Morel was then moved and detained at another police post in Gare de Lyon. She is currently in hospital in Paris.

“He assaulted me in front of the kids,” said Namubiru who also accuses her husband of threatening to kill her. Morel is said to be moving to Uganda soon to start working with the French embassy.

The couple, currently separated, filed for divorce and court is yet to decide about their children’s custody.
