Asylum
Asylum bar and restaurant opened shop a couple of months ago. Six months down the road,
the bar located at Plot 518, on Namugongo Road is one of the most famous hangouts in
Eastern Kampala. The hangout which is owned by two journalists has managed to bring
several celebrities closer to the people from the neighborhoods of Kireka, Bweyogerere,
Namugongo, Kira, Kyaliwajala, Kamuli and Banda. But before they could even celebrate their first anniversary, the Asylum bar management, over the weekend opened up their new baby, the Asylum VIP Lounge.
Situated above Asylum bar, the Asylum Lounge is characterised with modern ambient lighting, comfy seats and giant screens, with the décor matching any top hangout in the country. The Lounge opens only on Friday and Saturday while the rest of the week days are for private parties. The management however told us that they are still finalising a few touch ups ahead of the grand opening slated for mid-December! We are seeking Asylum tonight.
