SINKING HEELS: It is ridiculous to see girls wearing heels at a place with grass or a sandy beach. You don’t have to go through that as there is alternative foot wear.
I am a girl and as such I am supposed to understand a lot of things girls do. But wearing heels to an event held on a grassy field just beats me.
I mean really it doesn’t take a genius to know that heels will sink in grass if you exert the littlest of pleasure on them. Now a grown woman weight is not a little weight and it doesn’t matter if you are a model.
So why do you then insist on wearing them then turning to gardeners of sorts as every step you take literally digs into the soil and out? Don’t you feel embarrassed having to pry your heel from the soil every few minutes, or teetering on your toes?
I will try to put this as kindly as possible and replace the word stupid with ridiculous. Wearing heels in a place with grass is as ridiculous as wearing them at a sandy beach. Even if you put your best outfit together, you will just be the funny chick struggling in heels.
Plus it is really uncomfortable walking in them and will likely turn your usually sexy sassy walk look like the canter of horse with rickets. Need I mention that heels are uncomfortable enough? To add that they are sinking in and out is unnecessary drama for you.
How do you avoid this:
Start with knowing your events and be sure what exactly the venue looks like. Ask or check out their Facebook page! If it is a lawn or anything called ‘grounds’ or waterfront that is not paved or has nice hard heel accommodating hard ground, think of alternative foot wear.
What are your options?
Don’t be scared by alternative footwear, it is not some shoes made of reeds, or gumboots, or other weird things like that. Rather any other shoe you own without a point heel. A pair of flats or boots for example.
A wedge is classic replacement for the stiletto as it gives the desired oomph to an outfit as it adds height without sinking.
Now that you know these, you have no excuse for ruining the environment by ploughing the ground with your pointy heels.
