Bob Marley’s life thus becomes celebrated and this year, Kevin Macdonald, the Scottish director who also brought you hits like Last King of Scotland, State of Play and Touching the Void brings you the legendary singer’s documentary-biography titled Marley. It is slated to premiere at Cineplex Cinema tonight. It has some never-seen-before footage of the fallen reggae icon alias Tuff Gong. Reggae lovers will be lining up to catch on the life and times of the Bob Marley who rose to fame for songs like No Woman No Cry, Zimbabwe and Get up Stand Up among other hits which he partly did as a lead vocalist with The Wailers from 1963 through to his demise in 1981. Today Marley remains the most widely known and revered performer of reggae music, and is credited with helping spread both Jamaican music and the Rastafari movement to a worldwide audience.
