Judy Boucher in town

Judy Boucher

Judy Boucher arrived here Tuesday and she will be performing at a charity concert at Kampala Serena Hotel tonight.

The St. Vincent reggae star will headline the fundraising show intended to collect money for the construction of Uganda’s first multipurpose home for the elderly called Senior Adult Empire in Garuga along Entebbe Road.

“Care homes for the elderly are vital to each and every community,” said Boucher on arrival before she promised to bring down the house.

The likes of Halima Namakula and Ragga Dee were at hand to receive Boucher whose songs melted the hearts of lovers in the 1990s.

Halima and Ragga Dee definitely knew how Boucher looks like even before she stepped off the plane but the visiting singer shocked people when she said Gaetano Kaggwa is the only Ugandan celeb she knew.

She said she knew Gaetano from Big Brother. We just don’t know if Gaetano will be able to be with her tonight (at the concert) or she will end up with tears on her pillow. Just saying! Entrance to the show is Shs250,000 for single tickets and Shs300,000 for couples.
