Rachael K auditions for American Idol … again

It seems like Rachael K is trying to put her dismal musical voyage to Uganda well and truly behind her.

She wants to have a fresh start in the US and as we speak she has registered to compete in the upcoming American Idol.

On July 19 the rock wannabe posted on her Facebook wall: “American Idol auditions tomorrow in Oklahoma City!??! Heading to registration now!!!”

She got a long thread of encouraging comments both from Ugandans and foreigners.

Then one of her friends brought something to our attention: Rachael Kay’s high school dream was to go through American Idol and hit the big screen.

The friend (Ashley Snell Johnson) posted, “Hay. I remember u wanting to do that in high school” and the Is It Me singer replied, “lol Ashley Snell Johnson i did year 2005! But didn’t make it!!! 🙁 Here I go again…”

Hmm, she just never stops trying. Maybe now that the “mean” Simon Cowell is no longer a judge, new judge Mariah Carey and veteran Randy Jackson will shortlist her. Just maybe, as thousands of Americans audition for the show that is in its third season.
