Debatably the most cost effective movie I have watched this year – Man On a Ledge is also brainy and intriguing. In an attempt to seek justice, Nick Cassady (Sam Worthington) a fugitive puts up an act of a man with nothing to lose that is going to commit suicide to show his innocence.
But that is not the actual plan. Rather it is the plot his brother Joey (Jamie Bell) and Joey’s girlfriend Angie (Genesis Rodriguez) are executing back door – finding the diamond he is alleged to have stolen. The suicide plan is to distract police and it works like a charm.
What’s amusing however is how sadistic human beings can be. In a mob downstairs they urge him to jump from his hotel room window about 15 floors off the ground! Every time he puts a foot in space they applaud even louder. When Cassidy throws all the money he is left with, after grabbing some notes, smilingly, the mob pulls out their gadgets to record the man as he commits suicide. Can you imagine!
