Yes, it is a musical drama but did we need all those musical scenes? They become rather annoying in what is a great story line. Which line is about apartment tenants Mark (Anthony Rapp) and Roger (Adam Pascal) who express their anger at being asked to pay rent that was waived by their friend. These also plan to evict the homeless living in the lot next to Mark and Roger’s building and build a cyber-studio in its place. They are also being promised free rent if they help stop a tenant from protesting.
It is supposed to be an important one as it is the film version of the Pulitzer and Tony Award winning musical about Bohemians in the East Village of New York City struggling with life, love and AIDS, and the impacts they have on America. To watch this you need to be really patient especially during the musical scenes. If not, you might be forced to press the forward button.
