Joel Ssebunjo is not only a talented musician but also a clever one too. He managed to bring in legendary Senegalese singer Ismael Lo to perform with him in Kampala and the latest we get is that the Ugandan world music star is in Paris, France with the Senegalese working on a couple of collabos.
When we asked him what exactly he was doing with Lo is Paris, Ssebunjo wrote back: “Basically, this (collaboration) is my first major step towards my various recordings that are coming up with a couple of other leading artistes from West Africa.”
He also told us that the music will focus on the goals of the African continent.
“We are advocating for improved medical services, environment protection, human rights, child trafficking control among many other things that affect our continent,” added Ssebunjo.
The recording is being done in Sony France studios and Ssebunjo said he is delighted to record in such a big facility with the best world music producers you can find. Good luck, Joe.
