In 2011, we saw amazing weddings for singers Bobi Wine and Dr Hilderman. The same year Eagles Production band member Ronald Mayinja was introduced by longtime lover Aisha to her parents.
Mesach Semakula who was singer Dr Hilderman’s best man at the December wedding had promised to wed come this February. In fact the soft spoken singer made a confirmation to Lubaga Cathedral priest Fr. Achilles Mayanja during Hilderman’s wedding counselling classes which he attended as a best man.
Mesach further cemented his promise to his wife when she threw him a surprise birthday party at their home in Munyonyo late last year. However, the singer might have to do a lot of explaining not only to his wife, but to his fans, fellow musicians and the church.
According to a source close to Mesach, the singer took a decision to postpone the wedding to a later date this year. The source added that they didn’t understand why Mesach was postponing the wedding because sections tycoons in the Kwagalana Group, led by Godfrey Kirumira, musicians and fans were ready to raise a good amount of money to help the singer hold a wedding befitting of his status.
