We’re literally oozing with pride thanks to Gloria Wavamunno’s success on the fashion scene. Two weeks ago she was rubbing shoulders with the best of world fashion at the London Fashion Week (pictured right with a model in one of her outfits)and now the new kid on the block is heading to Uncle Sam’s land for a similar mission.
She will be in New York for the upcoming New York Fashion Week which is set to take place sometime this month, we can exclusively reveal. Gloria, who has also attended the Johannesburg Fashion Week, did so well at the London show that she secured herself an invitation to the New York do which is always attended by the top crop of showbiz.
The youthful designer was among the very few designers selected from Africa and she showcased her collection dubbed Not a Dream, My Soul Mate, shown February 19.
Her styles focused on the use of African fabrics and transformed into unique modern pieces of clothing making stylish and contemporary African wears.
