The news keeps coming in thick and fast but trust us, we can handle. Following last week’s grapevine that Snoop Dogg is set to headline a concert in Kampala in July, now someone has waded in with quite similar news but talking about a different artistes.
The CEO of Talent Africa Mr Aly Allibhai contacted us confirming that (drum rolls, please) Sean Kingston will be performing in Kampala on July 29. The 21-year-old US-based Jamaican rapper will set his foot on the Ugandan soil in the last week of July ahead of what is expected to be a highly-anticipated show.
Yes we’re excited about the news but Allibhai seems to be more excited than anyone else claiming that he has been working on getting the Face Drop singer here for some time.
“I am happy to confirm that the contractual obligations and deposits have been handled,” he said. “We are excited to bring an A-list superstar like Sean to Uganda, his music is so popular over here and we are looking forward to making it an unforgettable event.”
Of course we expect him to “kill” us with tracks like Me Love, Fire Burning, No Letting Go (Dutty Love), Eenie Meenie and most especially Beautiful Girls, the track that propelled him into the limelight in 2007. Can’t wait though we still hope the Snoop is on too; we’ll keep you posted, folks!
