Awilo Longomba
Gone are the days when Congolese musicians were regulars on the Ugandan social scene. Today, they are scarcer than the rain in January, so when they come, they make news.
We have seen Koffi Olomidde and Fally Ipupa come and do their thing and now the latest we have is that Awilo Longoma will be in Uganda and apparently he is too excited to be here that he will arrive a week before his show.
According to organisers of Awilo’s show in Kampala, the singer has always wanted to perform in Uganda and when he was contacted, he said he will arrive earlier so he can have an opportunity to tour the country as well as meet some Ugandan artistes.
Longoma will be performing at Kampala Serena Hotel sometime in April. Where the real Lingala fans?
