For singer Moses Ssali popularly known as Bebe Cool, confidence and courage are the two things he believes have and will get him what he wants.
He is not afraid of the consequences of his actions.
On Saturday night, the 41-year-old top Ugandan reggae and ragga musician took to social media to beg American rapper Kanye West for a collabo.
Kanye who recently changed his name to Ye and wife, also reality TV star, Kim Kardashian arrived in Uganda on Friday.
West is reportedly in Uganda for a video shoot for his new music album.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank you Kanye West together with your wife and management team for choosing Africa, but mainly Uganda as one of the countries you will visit and record your album. As an African open minded and know what I want artist, let me be the first one to openly make this request without any fear because it’s within a lot of young people in Africa to know what they want but fear to try, or make a move and by me doing this, my hope is it will inspire them to always confront challenges head-on. And that if they fail, they would at least have tried other than failing to try,” Reads a Facebook post by Bebe who is currently in the U.S for a business trip.
He further noted that if his request to the 41-year-old internationally acclaimed rapper doesn’t go through, he will understand but at least he will have tried his luck by doing what he thinks all African artists would want.
“Otherwise I will be honoured if my request is granted but in the meantime have fun in Uganda because it is the Pearl of Africa. Once again you are welcome to Museveni’s baby Uganda Kanye and Kim,” Bebe wrote.
Like Bebe and President Museveni, West on Thursday afternoon had a bizarre meeting with President Trump in the White House.
West spoke uninterrupted for ten minutes about several issues including improiving education. Prior to that, West appeared on TMZ to wax poetic about slavery and the Democratic Party.
