On Wednesday last week, Ugandans woke up to the news that musician Geosteady had gone missing in Baltimore, a city found in Maryland, United States (US).
“On a sad note, we would like to inform you on behalf of The Blackman Entertainment that Geosteady Blackman has been missing for the last 9 hours. He was last downtown Baltimore (one of the deadly cities in the world. On the Tuesday 4th September at 4pm. The picture below clearly shows the clothes he was wearing since it’s the last picture he sent us. We’re all worried about his health, wellbeing and his life since no one knows about where he could be at this time,” a post from the singer’s official social media platform read in part.
You can of course imagine the fear and anxiety his fans went through.
However, just a day after the announcement, Geosteady resurrected with a post calling out fellow musician Ykee Benda for mocking him.
He didn’t address the fact that he had been reported missing and neither did he say where he was.
This led many to think that his alleged disappearance was a stunt to promote his new single Finally.

He has continued to post other things, including asking his fans what their favorite colors are but has stubbornly refused to address the disappearance allegations.
His fans have now taken it upon themselves to get an answer out of him by touting him on whatever he posts. Many of them have mocked him over ‘kidnapping himself’.
