On Saturday, female gospel musician cum politician Judith Babirye secretly got married to her new lover and fellow politician, Paul Musoke Sebulime, a flight captain in a secretly, heavily guarded ceremony .
“I want to assure you Paul that I love you so much,” the 41-year-old Buikwe woman MP told the Buikwe North MP.
The Tobaganya Kunsekerera singer says she’s not bothered with what her critics say of her now 44-year-old husband and former LC3 chairperson for Njeru trading centre.
Sebulime is said to have had a relationship with Lukiya Ntale for more than eight years in which they produced three children, a set of five-year-old twins Kato and Babirye Musoke and the first-born, a boy of eight years before breaking up with her.
Ntale had reportedly warned the female MP against getting married to the father of her children.
“I have been seeing you with my husband knowing you were just friends,” she is quoted saying before adding that: “When you came for the burial of my father, I saw you asking for my eldest child.”
Babirye and Musoke reportedly became close during the 2016 election campaigns which propelled both of them to Parliamentary seats but the first time MPs are said to have been secretly dating for close to four years before deciding to ‘legalise’ their relationship.
