Desire Luzinda

Desire Luzinda has been out of the limelight for a while now and many have been wondering what she is up to apart from sharing photos on social media. However, today morning the Kitone singer has proved that she still is very relevant when she appeared in a tell-all interview on NTV’s Mwasuze Mutya.

Luzinda shared her life story with Faridah Nakazibwe and of course discussed her lovely daughter Mitchelle. She revealed that she got pregnant in senior six while at Makerere College School.

“I was a crazy girl while still studying. I found out about the pregnancy when it was more than two months old. I swore to never step in class again but I also did not want to drop out of school,” Luzinda admitted.

She says that she talked to the school headmaster who despite being disappointed in her, supported her and even arranged for her to be partly homeschooled.

Some of her relatives were however not supportive of the idea of her being pregnant and encouraged her to terminate the pregnancy.

“I was about four months pregnant when one of my aunties tried to convince me to terminate the pregnancy. They felt I could not handle being a parent at that age,” Luzinda intimated, adding that, “But I was a God-fearing child and I thought that the minute I try to abort the baby I would die. So I carried my pregnancy to full term.

“At school, they let me do exams and of course everyone looked at me like I was failure but I carried on. My classmates would talk behind my back and I was so broken,”

She gave birth to a bouncing baby girl in her senior six vacation. Her daughter is now fifteen years old. We are at Sqoop send hugs to you Desire Luzinda for choosing to save that beautiful girl.
