Though many Ugandans were happy about the Ghetto President’s overwhelming victory including some big wigs from NRM party, Bobi’s win did not excite Bebe Cool, who wrote a long post which he termed as one aimed at “pumping sense into some people’s heads”. In it, he accused the newly elected MP of being a music failure. But Bobi reacted gracefully to the comments.
Bobi Wine has simply said that Bebe Cool and him see things in a different way.
In a recent interview with NTV’s Sheila Nduhukire, Bobi said that everybody thinks the way they think adding that his thinking is different from that of Bebe Cool.
“Not everybody thinks the way I think…Bebe Cool is my old comrade, but we do not grow at the same pace. I learn new things and I’m proud of what I am today. I’m not a politician because that word does not describe me; I’m a leader. Bebe and I see things in a different way. I’m not in this for the money, I made enough money before I went into politics,” he said.
Bebe Cool in his post had said: “It would be wrong of me to blame failure of once a top artist in keeping their spot at the top on lack of a strong woman behind them. I am aware that staying in the music business takes wit, determination, Talent, commitment, focus, respect, lots of finances, strategy, clear mental health, but I also know that not many people possess these attributes. I would never in my conscious self-blame their lack of persistence in this competitive music business on their wives.”
Bebe Cool might be Big Size but if he plans on starting a war of words with Bobi Wine, he might have to rethink his strategy.
