Although she had been on air for 12 years, Bina Baby had never taken leave despite being entitled to a month’s leave every year.
She kept working even when her bosses at Dembe Fm asked that she takes leave.
However when she decided to travel to the US at the beginning of last year, rumour spread that she had gone to search for greener pastures, others said she had gone to look for a man.
But all this was not true. The truth emerged last week, when we were tipped that
the former ‘Mubezi’ presenter was on her way back to Uganda.
When we caught up with her, Bina Baby confirmed to us that she is returning to Dembe although she might be offered a different show or role.
“I have been assured that I have a job at Dembe Fm though I’m not quite sure whether I’m going to be given another programme or if I will still present “Mubezi”. Whatever management decides, I’m up for it provided it’s not writing stories,” she said.
When asked why she had gone away for so long, Bina Baby told us that she had just gone for a vacation and that for the past eight months, she has been residing with her sister.
